In a couple of minutes the boys were at the mouth of the tunnel. The faint, wavering beam of the flashlight picked out the dark forms of the wooden crates that C.J. and monte had left there.
In an instant or two Hank had two boards off the nearest crate and held the light close, revealing some neatly folded newsprint covered with characters from an Oriental language. He reached in and fumbled around until his fingers discovered a small object wrapped in newspaper.
"Do you suppose they stole this stuff?" Kevin asked.
"Then we'd better get out of here! They might be back anytime!"
